Video Receiver FAQs
What is a Video Receiver?
A Video Receiver receives the signals from your wireless X10 brand cameras and transmits them onto your television.
Without a video receiver, you won't be able to pick up the signals from your wireless cameras.
How do I choose the right Video Receiver?
X10 carries two types of video receivers, one that receives only video signals, and one that can receive both video and audio signals, which comes as an additional feature. Depending on your needs, a video sender with audio capabilities may not be required.
Is the Video Receiver required to use my X10 Camera?
If you use your X10 camera wirelessly then a Video Receiver will be required. The good news, if you order a X10 Camera package, a Video Receiver is usually included.
I do not own any X10 cameras, what else can I do with a Video Receiver?
If you do not own any X10 cameras, your Video Receiver works great with a Video Sender! Together, you can use the sender to transmit signals from a television or computer to another television or computer if the latter is located in an area where a signal may not be available.

Special note: Be sensible about Video Senders and Receivers. They're not private, other people can pick up the signals if they are so minded to, and you must also be careful that your signals don't interfere with the radio waves. With good sense and good planning and some care, none of this is a problem.
